A private investor has purchased a Chicago-area tech center building in an off-market deal.
Weiss Properties, a real estate investment firm based in Skokie, Illinois, sold the Wi-Fi Tech Center property at 3501 W. Howard St. in Skokie for $18 million, or approximately $98 per square foot. Located in the Skokie Industrial Park, the property is located about 14 miles north of downtown Chicago.
The Wi-Fi Tech Center is a 183,000-square-foot, multitenant flex industrial property that was constructed in 1952 and renovated in 2007, according to CoStar data. The property was fully leased at the time of sale, with some of the tenants including Central Infusion Alliance, Excelsior Food Products and Napa Auto Parts.
