Dave Schraufnagel is a Senior Director at Greenstone Partners, where he specializes in the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of office, retail, and industrial properties throughout Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. With nearly 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, Dave has established a reputation for delivering consistent results and expertly navigating complex transactions through a client-first approach.
Since starting his brokerage career in 2003, Dave has successfully completed over 600 sale and lease transactions across a diverse range of asset types. Through the years, he cultivated deep relationships across the Chicago market, advising a wide range of owners, investors, and users. His comprehensive experience across office, industrial, and retail sectors equips him with a unique perspective, enabling him to identify opportunities and maximize value for his clients.
Before joining Greenstone Partners, Dave dedicated 18 years to Garrett Realty & Development. He then founded D4 Realty in 2020, which was then acquired by Greenstone Partners in May of 2026.
Dave is an avid sports fan, and passionately follows the Cubs and his home-state Green Bay Packers. In his free time, he enjoys attending various sporting events, playing golf and paddle, spending time with friends and family, and discovering new restaurants around the city and suburbs. Dave takes great pride in watching his son, Emmit, pitch for the GBN Spartans in Northbrook.
EDUCATION
Dave earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate & Urban Land Economics, as well as Management & Human Resources, from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
